Common questions

Everything you might want to know before you get your Melody Report.

Is this free?

Yes. Your Melody Report and doctor letter are completely free. No premium version, no subscription, no payment required.

Is this medical advice?

No. Melody is an educational health information service. Your Melody Report is designed to help you understand your symptom experience and prepare for conversations with healthcare providers, not to diagnose or treat any condition. Always discuss your health concerns with a qualified medical professional.

Why do you need my email?

We ask for your email to send you your full Melody Report and doctor letter. We also send a short follow-up email series with more information about the areas your Melody Report highlighted. You can unsubscribe at any time. We never share your email with third parties and we never send spam.

What happens to my responses?

Your responses are used only to generate your Melody Report. We do not store your individual responses on a server; the Melody Report is generated in your browser. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details.

Will my results tell me I have perimenopause?

No. Melody is not a diagnostic tool and cannot tell you whether you have perimenopause or any other condition. What it does is map your symptom experience, explain what your pattern might suggest, and help you have a more informed conversation with your doctor. Only a qualified clinician can diagnose medical conditions.

My doctor said my labs were normal. Is that relevant?

Yes, and it’s one of the most important things the Melody Report addresses. Standard hormone tests can be unreliable during the transition because hormone levels fluctuate day to day. A normal result does not rule it out. The Melody Report and doctor letter include specific guidance, including which additional tests to request.

What is the doctor letter?

Your Melody Report includes a formal one-page letter you can print and hand directly to your doctor. It summarises your symptom profile in clear language, lists your domain scores, and suggests specific investigations worth considering. You don’t have to find the words; you can hand it over.

How long does it take?

Approximately 3–4 minutes. You can go back and change any response before receiving your Melody Report.

Do you earn money from this?

Melody is free because we have partnerships with clinical providers. If you use our recommended link to book a consultation, we receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend providers we genuinely believe serve women in this situation well. We’re transparent about this in your Melody Report.

Who made this?

Melody Health was built to address a specific gap: the moment between a woman feeling wrong and finding the right clinical help. We are a digital health information service, not a medical practice.
